Arpeggios: PRACTICING
Play the arpeggios the following ways:
  1. From the lowest pitch to the highest pitch. G B D F# G B D F# G and back down.
    1. Repeat the top note.
    2. Do not repeat the top note.
  2. From the highest pitch to the lowest pitch. G F# D B G F# D B G and back up.

    These two steps (1 and 2) will let you hear the arpeggio and get the sound in your ear somewhat, without letting you get too attatched to one particular way. Do not practice this too much. Move on to the next step as soon as you are comfortable, able to play fluidly, and can sing the each note before you play it. Singing each note before you play it allows you to develop your ear much more rapidly.
    1. Repeat the bottom note.
    2. Do not repeat the bottom note.

  3. From the first degree to the first degree an octave above. G B D F# G and back down.
    1. Repeat/Do not repeat the top note.
  4. From the first degree to the first degree an octave below. G F# D B G and back up.
    1. Repeat/Do not repeat the bottom note.

    1. Third degree to third degree.
